Any advice on what to go with? I've been thinking of maybe going with Losing My Mind from Follies, but I could definitely use some extra suggestions. Thanks in advance!
Why would you do a wistful torch song for an acerbic alcoholic like Joanne? If you're doing anything from Follies, do "Could I Leave You" or "I'm Still Here."
"Why Do The Wrong People Travel" from Sail Away?
"Invisible" from Women on the Verge?
"Zip" from Pal Joey?
"Some People" from Gypsy?
"Jeannette's Showbiz Number" from The Full Monty?
"As We Stumble Along" from Drowsy Chaperone?
If you can't tell, I'm mostly thinking of Elaine Stritch/Patti Lupone songs, of which there are many...but make sure your rendition of it is unique!!! Don't copy what they do.
One other idea, more out-of-the-box since it's typically a male song:
"Franklin Shepard, Inc." from Merrily!

You should definitely perform something from the Sondheim catalog.
I second the suggestions of “I’m Still Here,” and “Some People,” but the latter might show your range a little more.
Everybody’s Girl from Steel Pier
We’re Gonna Be Aright from DO I HEAR A WALTZ?
Every Day A LIttle Death from NIGHT MUSIC
Both wise, wiseass and sardonic songs about marriage
also Everybody Oughta Have a Maid from FORUM but sung from a wife’s point of view... “someone to be with him when he’s all alone...” about the relief and liberation of handing off @wifely duties” to a surrogate, could be great for a Joanne...
If you're going to sing "We're Gonna Be All Right", get the original lyrics off the SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM album. Those are the ones rejected by Richard Rodgers. The ones from DO I HEAR A WALTZ? are--I am convinced--Sondeim's "F*ck You!" to the composer for rejecting the wittiest lyrics Sondheim had written up to that date.
(Surely that is the version you meant, henrik, not the insipid "Our team is undefeatable" stuff actually sung in WALTZ.)
