A poor actor with a disgusting past."Couldn't have said it better myself.I can think of at least twelve actors off the top of my head who would play this role better than Amar, so I can't even imagine the number of actors someone with the reach of Scott Rudin could find. It's absolutely baffling to me why they had him fill this role. There was nobody better? I don't believe it.

Rehearsals began this week and still no news of who will play certain roles, including the Narrator, Florinda, Lucinda, Stepmother, Cinderella's Father, and more. Anyone happen to know the additional actors in these roles?

Yeah, no. The only movie I’d want is a filmed version of the stage production with the original Broadway cast, as the filmed clips they’ve released on their social media have looked SO good. Other than that, I think the magic of the show would be lost on film.

My sources also say Isaac Powell for Tony.

I doubt they are going to make a movie adaptation per se. I believe this will be a filmed stage production of the Broadway show, but will be more cinematic than something like the She Loves Me recording (think Miss Saigon 25th Anniversary/Newsies). Looking forward to this! I believe this will make a great transition to screen.
