Ok - I am perplexed. I am auditioning for Children of Eden, and I've worked with the director before - he cast me as Jewel in "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas".

But I don't want to be as diva-ish as to put down the role of Eve/Mama Noah. Should I just put "Storyteller" (they're casting 4-6), or just put "Anything" on the audition form?

Please check out my YouTube page, as I am logging my progress in rehearsing my song!

What is the question on the audition form? What role would you like? What is the only roll you'll accept?

I assume this is a small cast, so they're doubling the rolls (when I did it, no one played a roll in both acts besides God, I was Cain). Why not put what you want, but make sure the director understands that if you can't get that role, you're willing to do something smaller?

It's never diva-ish to put down the role you really want. What I used to put on those forms is along the lines of : Eve/Mama Noah/Whatever you can use me for. Go for it - or you might regret not making your real desires know.

I always aim high with slightly lower expectations. The director knows what they want, and they'll cast you in the role they see you in (I'll be crossing my fingers that you're his Eve :) By putting down a lead it just shows that you're confident and you know what you want, and will go for it. I don't see anything wrong in that.

Best of luck. Make sure to feel the spark of creation. re: Auditioning for Children of Eden

I want to apologize for some offensive messages posted on this board under my name. The night 0f 12-15-08 I did not have internet access, and someone had used my name to post something offensive. My avatar was also changed. I dont' know what else was posted, or if anyone recieved bad PMs, but I want to apologize for that. I've changed my password, and even though I was not the one posting these messages it still needed to be corrected.

Yeah, as long as you make it obvious that you're willing to be a team player, I would think that something along the lines of what Elphie put down will not offend or appear diva-ish to any director
