Thank you Menken Fan and Jazzysuite82 for the info on the song. I really appreciate it!

Was at the concert. Its a shame they didnt show her singing "Aint it the Truth".
What did you guys think about Patti?
God! I missed some of it. I missed Audra singing the Mayer song "My Stupid Mouth". Not only is that my favorite Mayer song but I know that Audra would have taken it places! Any help?

omg "My Stupid Mouth" was great!! This woman acts through song like I have never seen!! It;s hard to believe she never had an acting lesson.
She is the best!!
My Stupid Mouth, Stars and the Moon, and, of course, Happy Days were my favorite moments of the evening! I recorded it and have watched those songs over and over, the woman is great!

I loved "Happy Days". Too bad she was singing it with Patti. Would love to have seen someone else. Bernadette maybe?

Eh Patti was ok. I esp liked the end where they're belting in unison. Talk about Power!
I adore Ms. Patti LuPone, but even if you don't... Bernadette Peters? I'm just sitting here trying to imagine what they're voices would sound like together...
Bad.
While she has never taken an acting class, I wouldn't surprise me if she has an acting coach. If she REALLY has no NO help with her acting at all, that would truly be amazing.

She attended Juilliard, which gives Opera Acting as part of the Voice Curriculum.
Late to the party, but just caught up on my DVR...
Um, acting is not just one of her abilities.
We all know she can sing. Those of you who didn't understand the range of her singing by the "warble" of her vibrato should just go back to school... Her placement of voice was spot on at every level.
That's called technique. She found the humor, the pathos or both in each number and communicates it to her audience at each moment.
Her versatility of material and voice in this concert/album only guarantees her a place in the Rushmore of Broadway performers.
The only disappointment is the Patti duet-Babs/Judy-recreation was sooo short.
Still, icing on the cake.
This will never be on DVD--so keep your versions...
And be grateful that you saw it. It is a part of history. No joke.
Sorry to add, but:
Ciaron-- you couldn't have been at the "LIVE" concert and talk about what was not there...
Whatever game you're playing, either let us in or get out...
EDIT: Ciaron--to clarify, you did not say you were at the "LIVE" concert...you just said "WAS" at the concert, yet your subsequent comments seemed to imply that you were at the telecast. Umm, yet you talk about songs that you heard not included in the telecast.
Wha????

OK is it just me or does this not make sense? Been at a live concert and talk about what wasn't there? Ummmmm what are you talking about? Audra sang another song at the LIVE concert that was not broadcast on TV. The broadcast showed one encore. There were two.
Thanks for clarifying.
Yes, I would have loved for that duet to have been longer as well.
Tom, at the end of the telecast, as the credits are rolling, you can hear her say she's going to sing something else - then it's cut off.
She's such a songtease.
