PBS aired it at nine in my area. She was absolutely amazing.
I am still watching/listening to it on tape. I am loving her banter between songs. She is singing the Sondheim song, Glamourous Life, right now. I am in heaven!
Anyone transferring this from a DVR like device to DVD, please PM me! :)
She sang three of my favorite theatre songs: Stars and the Moon, Bill, and The Glamorous Life.
I can basically die happy.
Oh, Audra... how are you so amazing?
This was FABULOUS! I enjoyed every second of it
I have to admit to not enjoying her duet with Patti Lupone. I would have loved to see them do anything OTHER than the Streisand/Garland "Happy Days/Get Happy" number. They should have tried to create their own moment, rather than copying an iconic one.
Any news on possible re-airings? Otherwise...I'll pay anything for a DVD or VHS...someone PM me PLEASE!
It's on right now.
She's singing "Bill" from SHOW BOAT, and the story that went with it was really cute.
"Mommy, your singing makes my ears cry."
I just saw Audra perform in Michigan about 3 weeks ago, and I thought she was sensational.
I couldn't find this on my PBS. I hope they air it at some point.
she was just amazing! the only moment I did not like was the Patti duet. I wished she would've sang "my heart", but it was a spectacular evening. I wonder what she sang after the show went off the air.

It was fantastic. My PBS affiliate decided to play it at 2 and 4am today, for whatever reason.
Thank God for DVD-burning tivos. :)
I wish she would have sang My Heart as well. In all the press for the concert, it said she would be performing Neil Young, Adam Guettel and Rufus Wainwright - so did not do ONE of those composers.
I also find it very weird she didn't perform Build a Bridge on her special entitled, Build a Bridge. I know they used it as a metaphor for building a bridge between music theatre and pop - but still. Seems a bit odd.
But alas, I'm just happy Live from Lincoln Center decided to air this wonderful evening. I can't wait for New Years Eve!!
I am burning it on to a CD so I can listen to it on my discman.

Audra was fantastic. Does anyone know which show the song "I Won't Mind" is from? Is it from a show? I loved it!
If anyone has a copy. i'd LOVE it. PM... s'il vous plait

I'm, also, tv deprived.
please pm me, as well, if i could get a copy. i'd appreciate it.
"I Won't Mind" is apparently from a show called "The Other Franklin", written by Annie Kessler & Jeff Blumenkrantz. According to Jeff's website:
Lizzie is wife to William Franklin, who is Benjamin Franklin’s son. After years of desperately wanting a child, becoming pregnant and ultimately miscarrying, she learns that she will never bear a child. She sings the song to her godson (her best friends’ newborn) in the nursery, while everyone else is in the next room celebrating the christening.

And no the show isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Jeff says they've sort of abandoned the project.
