Audra at 92nd Street Y

Audra McDonald at The 92nd Street Y was simply stunning last night. We were treated to highlights from her career including: "Mister Snow," "Simple Little Things," "I Will Give," "Your Daddy's Son," "Climb Ev'ry Mountain," and her big aria from Master Class.

Plus she did "Crazy He Calls Me" from Lady Day switching back and forth between using her own voice and then Billie Holiday's.

I was there on Thursday. She was in very fine voice indeed. Better than her Carnegie Hall concert a year or two ago. Her Miister Snow and Climb Ev’ry Mountain which are always thrilling were especially great.

Thanks for the reports. I have tickets to see Audra on 2/23 at Tilles.  Very much looking forward to her show.  Hope I get to hear "Crazy He Calls Me."
