I recently interviewed Audrey Landers after seeing her in a benefit performance, and I have to say... she is smart, funny, charming and still drop dead gorgeous.
I started wondering why she hasn't been approached to play Roxie in the revival of Chicago. Thoughts?
(Check out the interview below... she's really engaging.)

I haven't seen it in years but I remember liking her in the film version of "A Chorus Line"...though in contrast to the rest of that film, any semi-highlight shined that much brighter...
I would think the reason is because she was never seen as anything more than a talentless bimbo and a camp joke, and not even a famous camp joke like Suzanne Somers. Just my guess.
That Chorus Line movie is worse than Showgirls (at least Showgirls is so bad it's funny), and Landers didn't really help. In her favor, though, I suppose she could have been much worse - but that might have been entertaining.

Audrey Landers was one of the best things about the film version of A CHORUS LINE...her rendition of "Dance: 10; Looks: 3" remains my favorite....and I don't care what any of you think to the contrary. :-P
Has CHICAGO really become that much of a joke that it's the first thought as a haven for minimally talented has beens looking to revitalized a long-forgotten career? Broadway's The Love Boat? Sheesh!
It has been. For YEARS.
