Any advice for male rock/pop songs for the Wicked/Rent/Hairspray open call in boston?? I HAVENT A CLUE WHAT TO SING.....

Any popular songs from the sixties. They also don't mind if you sing a song from the show if you know one. The sheet music for HAIRSPRAY selections is at halleonard.com . (you could sing "It Takes Two") GOOD LUCK!!!

I sang "Love Will Keep Us Together" and got a callback for Link a while back...upbeat 60's pop is good for Hairspray, but I'd go for more Rocky belty stuff for Rent and Wicked.

I sang "Out Here On My Own" which is a total audition no-no and I got a callback for a Broadway Maureen Replacement in RENT last year lol. I don't think it matters what you sing really.. just have fun and do something you're comfortable with and suits you best.

yes but, they are also holding about 10 auditions in Vegas right now for that company.

And do you guys think it's better to sing from the show or a 60's song. The call says sing 60's BUT if you have a song from Hairspray, do that....Help?
