Sorry ahead of time for the seating question, but when querying for tickets to August Osage County it showed two seats in the front row, center orchestra available. Anyone who's seen it...is this too close to the stage or is the stage too high to sit this close? Any input would be appreciated so much! Thanks!

Yes, it's too close IMO. The set is a third story house and some scenes take place on the third story. If you're on the first row you'll be unable to see the scene at all. It's even difficult to see some of the stuff that takes place on the second story.

I bought a student rush ticket and moved to the balcony after the first intermission and from then on my view was perfect!

I've sat in the Mezzanine and enjoyed it very much. I agree, the front row might be too close. Enjoy the show, it's great!

I sat front row center once and on top of the fact that it's far too much to take in that close, it's also way too intense. It feels like getting repeatedly hit by a bus from the second act on.

Go Mezzanine. Anywhere Mezzanine. Not a bad seat there.

Oh Lord. I have first row, dead center seats for January. I've read the play, and the only scene I recall taking place in the attic was the scene between Jean and Johnna. Am I gonna be able to see any of that at all?

I know you. I know you. I know you.

I sat First Row Center this past September and they were a bit close but fine. The scenes from the attic were visible but you really had to look up to see but other than that they were good. A few rows back would have been better I suppose ...

hate to bump this up but Ill be seeing this play next week with TDF- was wondering where those seats usually are?

I guess I usually hope for some good orchestra seats but in this case, sounds like anywhere in the mezzanine would be preferable?

I sat in the absolute last row at this theatre, and first row mezz at the Imperial, and could see everything both times. Any seat in the balcony is wonderful.

My best friend saw the show last Saturday in the seats that you are talking about (first row, center) He said they were a little too close but not the worst thing to happen. What annoyed him was there was a little speaker right in front of him that was playing the background noise (radio/TV/etc) which was way too loud because he was so close to it. But overall not too bad.
