Sorry for annoying how-are-the seats-questions, but I was wondering how rear mezz tickets for Ave Q are. They're significantly cheaper, so if you guys think they're good seats, then I'll go for that.

The Golden is a really small theater there isn't really a bad seat! And it's a great show, you'll enjoy it!
Yes - I've sat in them - they're perfectly fabulous. Definately worth it for the price!
so exactly how much smaller is the theatre compared to others? how many does it seat? Just wondering, because I keep hearing how small it is and how every seat is a good one...
They are fine !! I will be sitting in one tomorrow night with DW and a friend. For $46, they rock !!!
I'm not sure how many seats there are in the Golden, but I'm guessing about 800? I sat in the last row of the mezz, all the way to the right, and I sometimes had trouble seeing what was happening stage left, but other than that, it was fine!

Okay, I just have to say that that is entirely adorable. I hope some day my husband (of the future) would type that on a message board.

oh
and im scared for the rear mezz, just because the only other time i saw the show was front row (yeah lottery!), but the theater DOES look really small, and you can get the capacity here: http://www.nytheatre.com/nytheatre/golden.htm
they list all the theaters (i think), the review of the gershwin is worth a look.

Its not a good seat unless John Tartaglia's sweat is sprinkling your playbill!::sigh::
But, seriously...they're all good.
Just got back... converted our best friend !!! The show is just amazing (as always !!) And YES... I will say that it is brilliant !!!

I am headed up to NYC next weekend & was going to try for rush tickets for the Sunday evening show. If I don't get them, will there be tickets available to buy last minute? I can buy Rear Mezz tickets now no problem. I would just prefer rush tickets. Of course, I also really want to see the show that night. So, should I take my chances with the rush tickets? I'm going next Saturday (the 2nd) and can not wait! I've had the tickets since July so I'm getting really excited. Row A, all the way on the right hand side (stage left). Hope they're good seats as well - I was dumb and didn't realize where the seats ended on each row before I bought them. Oh well - I know we'll have a good time regardless!
