Avenue Q/Wicked ad

Was looking in the New York Times today in the Arts and Leisure section... I was surprised with Wicked opening tonight that there was no ad for it.
But what was there was an ad for Avenue Q that said:
Avenue Q welcomes Wicked to Broadway! and there's a picture of the puppet Lucy with a witches hat on and the caption said Wicked Witch of the Chest!
I don't think I've ever seen an ad before where one show welcomes another. I thought it was great!!

If I remember correctly, I think Avenue Q did this for The Boy From Oz also. If it is true, then props to the pruducers! What a nice thing to do.

i do remember that ad about BFO from AVENUE Q, it was something like BOY FROM THE CLOSET. The campaign cleverly mixes their characters with new "big event" shows...

Will: They don't give out awards for helping people be gay... unless you count the Tonys. "I guarantee that we'll have tough times. I guarantee that at some point one or both of us will want to get out. But I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life..."
