Hi everyone!
Currently looking into buying the rights to a show for the first time and I was wondering what the average price of just the rights to a show normally are, plus what the royalty fees would be for 2 performances? Specifically Seussical TYA from MTI? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated as well!

Wow! Their prices have gone up! I use to do some of those JR versions when I was directing musicals at the middle school level. I use to pay a flat fee of under 600 bucks, and that included scripts to keep! (Maybe it still does!)
I just did a quick estimate and for the same number of performances and every thing else, it would now cost somewhere between 3 and 4 times that! Yikes.

The prices are astronomical most smaller companies wouldn't have anything left in the budget for scenery or costumes after paying those prices.

Still cheaper than the regular full lengths.
