Aziza Barnes, author of BLKS, passed away on December 15th.

How awful. Barnes had such a unique voice as a writer, I wished we had gotten more theatre work from them.

Devastatingly sad news — both the loss itself, and to know they were struggling so much. 
 

I’m not familiar with Snowfall, but BLKS showed their promising talent, and Teenage Bounty Hunter was a criminally dismissed Netflix gem (I know they were one of many writers, but the show was so strongly written all around)
