With a book by Sybille Pearson, music by David Shire, and lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr., Baby follows three couples on a university campus dealing with the painful, rewarding and unexpectedly funny consequences of the universal experience of pregnancy and parenthood. The couples include two college students, barely at the beginning of their adult lives; the thirty-somethings, having trouble conceiving but determined not to give up; and middle-aged parents, previously looking forward to an empty nest when an unexpected night of passion lands them back where they started.

Is this the version where the couple struggling to conceive is same-sex?
I've loved this show for a while, so I'll definitely be checking this out when it drops.

Yes! It is! I am so thrilled as I loved this production so deeply. Thought I believe some of this cast is from the previous production with Ripley. Wonder what else is brewing for this show?
I'm excited to get to hear Julia Murney and the revised version of the show. I didn't get to see the production Off-Broadway.

Why? This dull/miss-conceived production had none of the magic of the original Broadway production.

The magic of the all white, heterosexual Broadway production? This was easily one of my favorite things post pandemic. Smart, challenging and a completely refreshing new take on a show that had become a relic.

Add me to the list of folx who LOVED this production. I thought Murney was incredible and I am excited to hear Christina Sajous' take on Pam as I missed her the first time around.
I saw this twice actually and Richard Maltby was there both times which was cool....seemed very gracious!!

No, it was still a relic. A pretty strong argument that nontraditional casting can't resuscitate very dated material without more radical changes being made to accommodate the new casting. What version of the cast is this? Flemming and Link were the weakest singers in the cast I saw so that diminishes my interest.
Richard Maltby Jr. wasn't wearing his mask properly and slept through most of the show when I saw it.
