Which I suppose would explain how Isaac Calpito walked past us that one night and you didn't blink at all. Of course it was also pouring out and you were preoccupied by the very cute gay boy holding your pink umbrella.
Yes, that is my excuse! If you recall, very cute gay boy took my pink umbrella, batted his eyes at me and then got me soaking wet! Very cute gay boy is very lucky that I still love him!
And WhatDoIneed, I just saw the video and I might have to cheat on 2Day4U for linking us to that. It was HYSTERICAL!!!

I know exactly how you feel! I was in a production of JCS a few years ago -- hated the show ever since. Has anyone else noticed how the show doesn't really make sense, how songs and moments just jump around with nothing connecting them? Bothered the hell out of me.
Guess it depends on how you approach it. Our approach is that the events of the show are all Jesus's thoughts and memories as he is being led to the crucifixion, so the disjointedness of it makes some sense. In fact, it's about the only choice the director has made that I completely agree with so far. What's really bad is that he's not giving me much room to develop my own ideas for Judas, and I'm feeling extremely suffocated. I've tried talking to him about it, but he isn't very open to consenting opinions. I'm just gritting my teeth, and looking forward to The Secret Garden.
So...ummm...John Hill is hot. (There, now it's on-topic.)

Umm..yeah. I mean, I guess he's all right if you're into that whole perfect face, perfect body, uber-talented and nice thing.
Okay, I'm seriously late now. I'll be back later and I expect this thread to be at least 10 more pages through.

Here's some free advice...
If you get a crazy idea in your head to get an advanced degree and maybe decide to go to school at night while working in the day, do not go to a school which has Friday night classes. This sucks!!
On a lighter note...I think I need to find myself a gay boyfriend. I have a gay co-worker, maybe I should ask him. Of course my new neighborhood is filled with potential gay boyfriends, now I just have to find me one. Downloading the video now, but it looks like class is starting up again. I'll have to try again later.
MoG & Trisky - so John & Michael in 2 different places on the same night? I wish I had choices like that!!

I need a gay boyfriend too. "I'm kinda pretty, and pretty damn smart. I like romantic things like music and art. And as you know I have a gigantic heart, so why don't I have a BOYFRIEND?? F*ck, it sucks to be me!"
What's really bad is that he's not giving me much room to develop my own ideas for Judas
Wow, 13, you're playing Judas? That's easily the best role in JCS!

Seriously, John and Mikey at different events on the same night is just one big 'bare' headache...How does one choose?
Oh, Faile, I'll be your gay boyfriend. Seems like everyone else is taken on here
I'm available for parties and assorted social gatherings. I'm the perfect accessory.
Listening to 'bare' now..."If I profane with my unworthiest hand..." I'm all verklempt.

Ahh, star, you're so sweet!! Thank you. I had thought that MoG had claimed the boys on this thread already
I'm tempted to put my head phones in and listen to BARE, it would definitely be better than the estate tax discussion going on. Internet access in the classroom is a bad thing, but very nice to have

I wish I had the choice!! But i'm headed to NYC the 12th for Bare Facts. Going the 19th is probably not feasible

What? No post in over an hour?? What is this thread coming to?
I'm listening to Michael sing "First Letter" from Easter Rising right now. It's such a stunning, beautiful song, and Michael's voice soars into the heavens! Love it, can't get enough.

Whoa...way too far down the page. I'll help.
Captain--um...just a lot of talk about fake gay boyfriends (which I don't have, tear...) and excitement over getting to 100 pages.
That's about it.
I do have to share that I've now converted many people to BARE lovers. Sadly, they all live in Montana and will probably never see it... But they'll buy the cast recording...

Wow, I just realized I've been promoted to Chorus Member. I'm pretty excited. Of course, you guys are all way past that, but it's a big accomplishment with a dial-up connection. I have to really want to post to do it.
Anyway, I do have a question. Keeping in mind that I've only heard the sampler... Does Matt really have his own story in the show? Is he just a supporting character? You really can't get much of the story from the sampler. I could read the plot reviews but I also kind of want to be surprised when I see the show by some of the story. Does anyone know if there's a good summary somewhere that doesn't give too much away? (Although I have learned some things from this thread that were spoilers, oh well...)

Amen! As if I didn't have enough stress right now, my boyfriend and I broke up after rehearsal tonight. "It sucks to be me," indeed.

Truer words have ne'er been spoken.
So...anyone else out there need a fake gay boyfriend? It would appear I'm available.

Jess, Matt's role in the show is fairly supporting (they all are, except the big three Peter/Jason/Ivy, just some to a greater extent than others), but he's on stage for a good chunk of time and he's integral to the story. Other than Are You There he doesn't have any songs of his own, he sings backup on Portrait of a Girl and a couple of others.
So...anyone else out there need a fake gay boyfriend? It would appear I'm available.
Oh 13, first a crappy production of JCS and now this. In the long run, as they say, that which doesn't kill you will only make you stronger. Perhaps the ex-boyfriend should be the one we're calling Judas... If you need a fake straight girlfriend I'm sure my fake husband and fake gay boyfriend #1 won't mind. And I have a job that pays the bills, so you can be well kept while you're recovering from the stress.

I'm up for the taking as a fake gay boyfriend...not quite pocket size, but works well in all scenarios!
