I dunno.. but I wants ome of whatever John has!

I am severely tempted to write him and ask what moves him to write those extremely strange entries. He's actually a good writer, it's just that the entries themselves are so off the wall, its insane.

I know just what you can ask him! "Dear John, were you as traumatized by The Magic Garden as I was"" Seriously, for some reason whenever I read one of his entries, I automatically think of that show and those two freaky women, Carole and Paula in their fake garden with the guitars. I was convinced they were insane, even before I knew what insanity meant.

Okay, yes, I realize that 3/4's of this thread won't even get The Magic Garden reference. LOL

Welcome CodeName, come out and play. One need only look at the picture on the front of this page:

http://users.ev1.net/~jcaliff/mgarden/mgarden.htm

To understand why I think John would fit right in. Those big old mushrooms in the corner weren't just fungus, IMO...

ETA: Speaking of John's journal, updating the News page every now and then might be a good time. Just a thought. Few more notes on 'bare facts'

omg, that picture reminds me why i should block those memories out. i can see why john's journal industries remind you of that.

That show traumatized me as a child! I can see John watching tapes of the show to get motivation for his journal.

Am I the only one that LOVED The Magic Garden? I can even remember the day that they said my name as one of the people they see! I thought for sure they were talking to me! Few more notes on 'bare facts'

Welcome Codename to the insanity that is the Bare thread. We don't bite unless invited to.

Welcome CodeName. I was a lurker too for about 60 pages, way more fun to actually post.

Oh, and I was just reading back on page 96 where someone explained how to use italics, so now I'm very excited, and that is why there are italics in this message (not that I wouldn't normally say hi, codename, I would just do it in my lame no-italics way)

Why does this not shock me in the slightest? Few more notes on 'bare facts'

Those women were CREEPY! Between the flying monkeys in The Wizard of Oz and them, I'm surprised I even made it out of my childhood.

John is apparently stuck in his.

Those women were sweet! Now Mr. Rogers is another story. God rest his soul but he creeped me out!

Don't get me started on the flying monkeys. As you know, I can't even handle the flying ones in Wicked!

John should write a treatment for an animated feature, his imagination is certainly colorful enough.

I think Trisky is already worried enough that we're sharing a brain. Add you to the mix hon and Trisky's head is going to explode!

Your.head.asplode. Bonus points if you know that reference :-P

LMAO! Ummm...who the hell was so thoughtless like that? The nerve indeed. Ummm....sorry!

No need to be sorry, hon!! See PM!

And yet he's still the hottest.man.in.need.of.therapy.ever.

I will give him that, only because Michael is not in need of therapy yet! :-P

lets just present him the check for his "help" on the 16

*ahem* Since I am the organizer of said fund, I believe that it should wait til I am in attendance!

The scene where they're in the tunnel thing and he starts singing that creepy song, ya know?! That terrified me.

I was scared of E.T. too, don't ask me why, I just was.

It freaked me out too. Never burned it...did hide it once when it was my brother's turn to choose and he chose it, I didn't put it back for months.

fb-what's this new icon?

The Little Mermaid freaked me out. I refused to watch.

Was staring at the Michael picture again. I'm so going to fail out of school this semester. This board is killing me and it's my second day of classes...
