What is that supposed to mean? "Too gay"? too happy? Come on, if they mean it as too homosexual, a person is either gay or they are not, it's not something you can be "too" of. That's the most ridiculous thing in the world. Sorry 2day, this 'leader' obviously isn't much of a leader, maybe that is why the group dynamic feels off to him or her.

thats ridiculous. last year i was in a terrible version of the aristophanes show lysistrata, and the guy who played the senator is flaming. our director actually said to him during rehearsal..."lets try not to queer the deal."

for sure it stuck and we like to use that whenever possible.

I forsee the group dynamic really being ruined when you take your "too gay" ass and walk off the stage in the middle of the performance just to spite them.

Can you try and deal with the leader one on one to gauge their response and let them know you don't appreciate being labeled anything, much less being blamed because the group can't get itself together to compensate for whatever it is they're lacking?

Thanks everyone. I haven't talked to him about it yet, but will later today once I'm done with everything. My one friend thinks he is afraid to come out and is just jealous of me! :-P Personally, I wouldn't be surprised, but shhhhhhh. lol

I don't get the too gay thing either. This is what I took it as, but I just remembered it was something like "taking the gay thing a little too far," which is the same isn't it? I mean, I'm like you telling me this is like me telling you to shrink cause you're too tall!

Either way, I'm working on it, and will keep everyone posted.

There is not such thing as "too gay." You're either gay or not gay. I think he is uncomfortable with how open I have become about it. I did a lot of personal discovery, or what have you, over the summer, and am much more comfortable with myself and who I am. Unfortunately, I don't think he is, but whatever.
