Also I'm confused. Were the Barefoot in the park posters $40 or $60? Anyone know
The 45s are on ebay. The link was posted before (either on page 2 or 3). I can't remember off the top of my head just how much they were asking for them!
Jersey Boys is also selling "Our Sons" bowling shirts(I think on ebay). Erica Piccininni is also being auctioned off on ebay! Or was Bobby joking?

oh what a night
late December back in '63
what a very special time for me
cuz i remember what a night!
lol... Broadway Betty... does this mean you were there the night that I was when he almost auctioned her off? "Also on sale we have... Erica?" He meant to just have her step forward with the signed original Four Seasons LP, but it was hysterical.
The night I was there they also auctioned off Frankie's bracelet that JLY wears during the show. They sweetened the deal with a quickie backstage tour and it went for $500.
Also, I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but speaking of John Lloyd Young, he's doing personally signed playbills or photos if you mail a check to the theater for $25 ( see his blog: https://www.johnlloydyoung.com/blog.htm ) I believe his personal goal for this is $5000 ...

I guess he tries to sell Erica alot! lol I love the face she makes. One time, he motioned for her to come forward and couldn't remember her name so I screamed out "Erica Piccininni! ERICA!!" It wasn't until after I made an ass of myself did I realize it was probably a gag.
I haven't been there when they had a backstage tour. They're probably afraid of me bidding! LOL

Longtime reader and first time poster. I was at Sweeney Todd last night and they were selling signed playbills for $20 and posters although I do not know the price. They asked for money in a pamphlet inserted in the playbill when you came in, but no asking from the stage. They were in the lobby, so I guess you could walk up without a problem.
BigsCanYouHereMe, thank you so much for your report.
I really want to know the price of Sweeney signed poster. Any update is appreciated!!

Just to let everyone know, show's in previews (like Tarzan) do not participate. It has to do with the show running overtime and having to pay the cast and crew members overtime wages.

I'm not a theater professional -- could someone clarify the situation? Why does the fact that the show is in previews affect their overtime wages? Also, the on-stage announcement is usually about 2 minutes at most. Does the cast get paid overtime for the length of the announcement? Does the crew? What if they do an on-stage auction or something that takes more than a few minutes? I assume the cast is volunteering to help in collecting money, and the backstage crew is not affected by this. It is true that the front of the house may be affected slightly, but do they actually get paid additional amounts during the fundraising time periods? I apologize if these are naive questions, but I'm kind of clueless about the financial implications of the BC/EFA fundraising.
not sure how the whole being in previews affects overtime re: BCEFA, but fyi 'regular' shows get affected by overtime for this also... Last BCEFA fundraising season I was leaving another show and decided to swing through Wicked on my way home, and the guy who is in charge of the lobby told me that they weren't doing BCEFA fundraising that night, as they would be running into overtime (I believe he told me that they'd gotten a late start that night), and so I should try back tomorrow.

I think it has more to do with that it would affect the creative process during previews. An actor shouldn't be thinking about bcefa stuff when they are still trying to find their character.

Just to let everybody know, the touring productions are fundraising as well. At Wicked on Thursday night in Philadelphia, Julia Murney did the speech. She said that the top three money raising touring productions get a plaque (and she wants that plaque!!!). The cast collected money in the lobby and they sold signed tour cast posters for $60. I couldn't resist buying one.

The signed posters at Sweeney Todd are $50 and on Saturday night that only had 3 for sale. The signed posters at Barefoot are now $100.
Does anyone know if Ring of Fire or Bridge and Tunnel are selling anything?
A couple have been mentioned, but what were some of the better "speeches"(i'm not sure what to call them)?
They always seem to be enjoyable(last year I especially liked Jan Maxwell's speech at Chitty)
Yeah. That's what I want to hear about. I mean, I'm definitley thankful for the prices, but tell us about the speeches!!!
