I was in a production of "Aida" and being a white girl, I wasn't allowed to be in any of my favorite numbers like "Gods love Nubia" because it's about the Nubians and I am white.
But I was ok with that.
I lost out on the role of "Sandy" for the European tour of "Grease" to my friend who is an amazing African American woman. That's right, a black Sandy Dumbrowski.
Again, I was ok with that.
I auditioned for a Toni Braxton video and they took one look at my "whiteness" and laughed me out of the room.
I was still ok with that.
It happens. I just let it go.
But I was ok with that.

I think that Whatever man is too conivnced that EVERYONE is racest. When that is clearly not true. If he ever reads this post again I wanna say that there are not a lot of short fat people on Broadway. Do I bitch and moan bout it? No, I don't. A show like Beauty and the beast is trying to look a lot like the cartoon so it makes sense that they are trying to get the cast to look as much like the movie they can.
