If there's a revival, I want a full recording this time around.
Michael Arden as Buddy. Fyi- Michael is 5'11. I have a picture with him somewhere posted here..floating aound...and I am 5'9 and he is much taller than me like 2-3 inches more..
Also Alice Ripley is kinda old already..she's 44 (though she still looks fab as ever and i love her) but still.. she's old for the role... Its like me playing "Eponine" in Les Miserables..where I should be Fantine already ..I'm in my mid 30's already (I am soo Lea Salonga!)
lol!

LOL. It made me laugh. (Which considering my voice took a vacation sounds REALLY weird. My bird doesn't know what to do wth it.)
oh my god...after 10 mins.. I am still laughing.. jordy...
I remember when I first pm'ed you abut N2N and I ask you about Emily Skinner...and you told me..oh.. you got the wrong twin! I think I have a mind block with Alice Ripley..
I cant believe I call her Alice Riples...lol! soo funny!

I laugh every time I look at it.
It's ok... Confession time. Sunday I was babbling to someone at scoring about the concert in DC on April 11 and I said "Emily Ripley and Alice Skinner" then was like "WTF?? Reverse the first names!"
I want my voice back!!!!

So. Exciting.
Julia Murney, please!
When I read this I got all tingly down there. I would die to see this done again!
I think if they went with vocals and not looks..
I would love to see
Carolee Carmello and Marin Mazzie wrap their voices around the score.
anything for Carolee.....

This won't ever come to bway. The show isn't that good and the idea of singing siamese twins is no more appealing now that it was when the show played originally.
Not. Interested. I was too wrapped up in the original production when I was 17.
However, reunite the OBC for a concert and my wallet would open right up.
I would go out of my way to ANYTHING Sara Gettelfinger is in.
This made my heart skip a beat and I too got tingly down there as well. I think the re-writes are to just even things out a bit more and I'm sure it will be nothing drastic.
I'm just curious... but, why wouldn't they ask Robert Longbottom to direct the revival again? Do they just want someone new that could bring some fresh ideas?
Bill Condon might be able to improve on it. I agree with the choice to bring him in. I think Rachel York is a little old for the role. She's Alice's age. I don't know who I'd cast. The twins are very difficult to cast and Alice and Emily were so extraordinary that it will be hard to match their performances. But I hope it happens. I want to see it so much.

Alice Ripley was born in 1963. Rachel York was born in 1972. Hardly the same age.
Maybe these two could play Violet and Daisy. They can sing the part.

Perhaps like in his adaptations of CHICAGO and DREAMGIRLS, he will have the only songs be sung onstage.
Book songs begone!

So we can listen to one scream the score, and another push their belt? No thanks.
