They should be out in two days or so.

re: BLONDE Reviews?

We can't post anything about Vanessa Williams anymore, they've been gotten rid of. Through this thread I will just say, well done everyone involved.

End of threadjack.

re: BLONDE Reviews?

Just got back from Opening Night...

I enjoyed the show and everyone in the audience seemed to be having a rocking good time. I laughed a lot and the music is kick! Laura Bell Bundy runs circles on that stage. Props to Andy Karl, Orfeh, Christian Borle and the whole sorority squad. Dogs were cute too. I see it having a healthy and fun run in New York.

The Palace Theatre stage-door is going to give the Gershwin a run for its money... this has teen-girl fan-base written all over it.

Opening Night attendance (the ones that I saw):

Jerry Mitchell
Sutton Foster
Marissa Janet Winokur
Linda Hart
Christian Campbell
Aaron J. Albano
Michael Bolton
Paul Wontorek

Full review coming soon!

re: BLONDE Reviews?

Yeah I saw Linda Hart there too, spent some time with her, very sweet woman. A friend of mine is very good freinds with her and I got to talk to her and Laura Bell Bundy's BF, very nice people. I saw you there Eugene and was going to say hi, but did not! Sorry re: BLONDE Reviews?(

re: BLONDE Reviews?

I was there too- I was on the lookout for BWW people but didn't see you guys. I must've been oblivious to the Broadway folks in the crowd too. I did see Christian Campbell at intermission but that's the only one I noticed.

re: BLONDE Reviews?

That Mercury review was positive, but a terribly written review, mainly focused on plot despite the critic's assertion than anyone with half a brain could see where this was going a mile away. Barely a mention of anything specific. I hope this isn't San Fran's major newspaper.

re: BLONDE Reviews?

I'm pretty sure the SF Chronicle is San Fran's major paper. I'd never heard of The Mercury before reading that poorly written review.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

re: BLONDE Reviews?

The review you all are referring to is from Pat Craig of the Contra Costa Times which is based in Walnut Creek, California and serves Contra Costa and eastern Alameda counties (East Bay).

The Mercury News is based in San Jose and their theatre critic is Karen D' Souza, her review has yet to be published. These 2 papers are owned by the same parent company (MediaNews Group) and that is why their websites share content and layout.

The Chronicle is SF's major paper and their review by Robert Hurwitt will appear tomorrow.

Linda Hart was brilliant in TRAILER PARK!
