The show, while faaaar from perfect, has a number of decent things going for it. But one of the things that was most frustrating to me was how you have someone like Orfeh - ORFEH, who has maybe THE most powerful voice of anyone in musical theater, and you arrange the material so she only ever once or twice for a split second gets to come close to blowing the roof off the Savoy. And if you know what she’s like as a performer you can see it watching her, how she’s actually holding back. I don’t know who’s to blame for that but Jesus it was maddening watching those moments on stage.
