Lion King - 1998 Tony Awards
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Posted: 2/28/13 at 3:59pmThat video reminds you how the first 5 minutes of that musical are the most thrilling 5 minutes you'll ever spend in a theater. Sadly it's followed by 200 more minutes of mind numbing boredom.

I've only seen The Lion King on tour and was resigned to the idea that they would tour a lot of the animal costumes I saw on the Tonys (i.e. the elephant). I admit that I cried when I turned in my seat and saw that damn elephant.
