Why am I not surprised that he's a bigger fan of Webber than he is of Sondheim?
BWW EXCLUSIVE: Simon Cowell Talks X FACTOR, Lloyd Webber, Sondheim, Broadway & More!
He is vile. There's no room on BWW for such a repugnant, egotistical, jerk. I can't stand him.
After reading that interview, I feel like I lost a good 3 minutes of my life. And I'm all for personal opinion, but when the comment was made of " I have only seen one Sondheim show, and it was boring". To the interviewer who said, "Must have been Passion". Really? I'm "glad" he assumed that show. I would never say anything like that.
Doucebag A- Simon Cowell
Doucebag B- Interviewer
Sorry. There's no other word to describe 'em. And on the guy's birthday! Jeez!
The fact that his favourite musical is Saturday Night Fever just about sums it up...

Why was he reviewed for this site?? Simon didn't even pretend to humour him and talk like he knows theatre, which is fine, really--why should he--but then why is BWW even interested?
And I didn't think of Passion at all when I read his description of no set and screaming (actually it made me think more of Assassins--which was my only guess--).
What an astonishing idiot. I read way too many sentences before Xing out of that.
Can BWW fire this interviewer? All he does is kiss his various subjects respective assess and the articles are almost embarrassing to read sometimes. Nothing much else can be said for Cowell.

That's the thing, no wonder Cowell loved the interview, although I have zero faith that he actually reads this site...

these interviews make me feel sick.
that interviewer sucks beyond belief. every interview is just a suck up that makes you feel sick to read.
fire him immediately if not sooner!
As for Simon Cowell. The man knows nothing except commercial music, so he is lucky to have his day now. But unlike Sondheim, Porter, Gershwin, Kander & Ebb and the broadway business him and his music will have no relevance to future generations and will be quickly forgotten.
I hate the smugness of "I like you" at the end like - as if it that has validated his existence.
Idoit of a man, Idiot of an interviewer, Idiot for posting the interview and I am idiot for reading it!
Why Broadway World thought an interview with Simon was appropriate for here is beyond me. I always remember his disdain for vocalists on American Idol when they sounded too "Broadway" to him. There are plenty of other outlets for this idiot, but Broadway World shouldn't be one of them.

Well, I've always thought Simon Cowell and this interviewer were total asses. I mean everyone's hit the nail on the head. This interviewer just kisses ass. And I hate how everyone says at the end of these interviews that they enjoyed talking to him. Have some self-respect for God's sake!
Lupone and Merman "too much"?! Put one of these Idol or X Factor kids in Gypsy and see if they last for the first 8 shows vocally.
I honestly thought this was a parody interview.
If the interviewer was at all serious, I have no words.
