This is not Queer As Folk.

A backroom is what closed THE WORKS. Pity.

If there won't be photographs would some write something about what went on so that those of us who can't be there won't miss out entirely?

" I hope to come, but also feel vaguely uncomfortable that I, being relatively new to the board and not one of the great posting personalities or lumaneries, will be walking into either a group where everyone actually already knows each other, or will be twice as old as anyone else there and no one will having any interest in saying hello."
Brava, Ifitfloats! You nailed my POV so precisely, it's uncanny. I fear the role of the spouse at a class reunion. There will be adventures shared, I will know nada. And instead of the trophy wife/hubby, I'll be the spinster/geek d'un age certain at the bar, swilling cheap bourbon and trying to chat up the bartender, who wishes he were hoofin' in 42nd street. The board luminaries are a glamorous and intimidating lot. So if the rest of us new folk show up ... be kind.

"I like ya, Auggie. I'll make ya welcome, kid. Whatta ya having?"

Oh, I bet we aren't such a glamorous lot! =)
So, I'm gonna be there, too. I guess this thing is really finally going to happen. Should be fun (or scary in a fun way).
(and for the age survey--I'm 29) =)
P.S. --where is Barrymore's?

Barrymore's is on W 45th Street--across the street from TABOO and just a few doors away from THE BOY FROM OZ.

So Master, since you're buyin', I shall look for a frowning man with 3 errect hairs on his scalp. 'Course there may be many, so identify yourself, perhaps by plucking one. It'll be easier to find the man with only two hairs.

I'd love to come, but I'm rather on the young side (13) and I don't think I'd fit in well. Not to mention my parents wouldn't be too happy to hear that I was trying to go to a party with internet pals that are signficantly older than me (no offense to you guys). Those who go, post on here every detail!

Hey all...
Wish I could be there. It sounds like a riot, for sure. Sadly, I'm stuck here in Canada. Too bad it wasn't last week! I could have come as I was in the city!
