BWW Seeking Spring/Summer Interns

BroadwayWorld.com, the largest theatre website on the net, is seeking interns for the late spring/summer season. Applicants should be industry enthusiasts and have an interest in learning about news research, editing and website content management. No experience is necessary, although excellent writing skills are essential. Applicants must also be able to multi-task and write quickly. This upcoming term is by far the most exciting of the year, as it covers the Tony Awards period.

Responsibilities include:

1.Assisting with the editing and publishing of press release stories
2. Drafting original news stories off of briefs and news tips
3. Assisting Managing Editor and News Editor with special projects (particularly those surrounding Tony Awards activity).

The position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work remotely for your convenience. Applicants both in and outside of New York City are encouraged to apply. The internship offers exceptional training in most important professional medium and allows individuals the opportunity to immerse themselves in the front lines of the goings-on of the theater/entertainment world. Interns play an integral role in the writing a research of content published on the site. There is no admin work associated with the experience. The internship is unpaid, however, previous interns have been promoted to staff.
