haha no, I did not make the teaser (and keep in mind this is not even the real teaser- it's a teaser-teaser.)
All I do is post, edit and draw pictures for the blog. :)
Yawn......
I see this one going the way of The Producers and Phantom films..... i.e.... it's gonna blow.
sylar, it will not necessarily blow. They have, IMHO, a much better chance of succeeding then The Producers, which had the aweful luck of having Mel Brookes SO distracted by the tragedy in his life that he couldn't spend 24/7 on the project and Phantom, which had the double whammy of "he can't sing and she can't act". This has a GREAT cast, probably on par with "Dreamgirls" but they are making a few lame mistakes that IOHO, need to be addressed. That may sound very hubristic of me but I think that there is some serious Broadway knowledge on this board and the fact that people are talking about the lack of quality of this teaser-teaser should ring a few alarm bells somewhere.
I can guarantee you that when the fanboys complain in the sci-fi world nowadays, people in Hollywood DO listen.
I was pitching at Paramount to a producer whose d-girl mentioned that her new project got some sour comments on "Ain't It Cool News" and "Dark Horizons". I thought the woman was going to have a coronary. She was on the speed dialer to the director within minutes.
So why should some 14-year-old twerp in Buffalo get more deference for his comments about a comic-book film than we do on this site?
And mateo, I had no idea what degree of involvement you have on the site and in the publicity machine. I liked your original site - as you may remember - and I'm glad the producers had the insight to bring you on board.
THAT was an inspired move. The teaser-teaser was not.
IT was soooooooo ugly.... The dreamgirls teaser made people want the movie. This just held my "meh" feeling to the movie.
Sylar i thought the exact same thing.
Boring.
I like allofmylife's idea for a teaser.
