i wish there were some actual clips not just names of every cast member in the movie
and i dont care for the font toooo much
but still a nice teaser to get the word out about the movie.

All coming soon.. this is the very first teaser trailer. Most movies either do this or have a 1 second clip at the tail end. Trust me - we'll be seeing a lot more as time goes on.

Hey, it's just getting the word out, guys. As Craig said, I'm sure more is to come. Think about it.

Dreamgirls is a success most likely owed to the big names and the amazing advertising we all saw. Well, Hairspray already has big names, and if the producing team for it has the time/money to come up something as small as this, then I can only expect they've got even more time/money to produce a massive publicity campaign!

Anyways, I'm debating who exactly is singing in that clip. The male voice sounds a lot like Efron's singing voice, but the girl could pass as Amanda Bynes -- it seems too deep to be Nikki. I'm probably just missing something, though.

I'm thinking that it was most likely Elijah Kelley and Amanda Bynes singing on the clip. There was some footage ages ago that had 'Run And Tell That' playing over the top, and it didn't sound enormously dissimilar to the vocals on this teaser. Also the tone was all wrong to be Nikki Blonsky, but if Bynes has the pipes for Penny (which I'm certain she does, otherwise they wouldn't have cast her; not that we've heard her singing in ANY footage so far), then that was totally her.

Needs more teaser please! I am SO looking forward to this movie it's not even funny. ^_^

"a woman found out if she shook it, she could shake up a man.." doesn't Tracy sing that line with Link? I'm sure that's Nikki and Zac. But who knows?

That's for sure. I just saw the teaser before Dreamgirls with some friends, and by the end, they were laughing and saying "anyone else?"

It's nice that they are billing it as an ensemble, unlike Dreamgirls early on. It was like 'Jennifer Hudson-who?'

That voice sounds too young to be Walken- I think it might be James Marsden.

Then towards then end it is JT.


I am not sure at all. I don't think Marc mixed this track either so I wont pay too much attention to how it sounds.

well he was a dancer before he started directing.


Anne Fletcher, Jamal Sims and Zach Woodlee are assistant choreographers for Hairspray. They all worked on "Step Up."
