I actually saw Spelling Bee for the first time this Friday night. Lisa Yuen went on for Peretti and had a lovely voice and nice stage presence, but wasn't outstanding. I also saw Todd Buonapane as Leaf. I know, he and Jesse have totally opposite statures, but he was wonderful! It definitely worked with him being the chubby, completely weird kid. His voice sounded JUST like that of a kid's. Plus they were so nice afterwards! Thanks for posting this!
