Ok Guys, taking some relatives in town to a show and have to ask...is Baby its you THAT bad? I have heard nothing but horrible things about it, but was looking for an honest opinion...have had no desire to see it, figure I may catch it before it closes (whenever that may be).
Also what is the word on Million Dollar Quartet at NWS? I always heard the show was good but missed it at the Nederlander. Taking my mom while shes in town at NWS and watned to get the word on that! Are they rushing for it by the way?? Thanks!!
I saw MDQ tonight. I'd never seen it before, and it was good, dumb fun. It works fine in that space.
It's really not that bad. Wonderland was a hell of a lot worse. The cast is good, the music is enjoyable, and it's mindless fluff without a good book. But it's not the utter train wreck it's being made out to be. It's only a slight fender-bender.
Lizzie, I was there tonight also. I wouldn't call it dumb fun. The show is about the music with a book wrapped around it. It kind of flies by. Run time is an hour and 40 minutes with no intermission. Very good and talented cast. 3 cast member were in the original Broadway cast.

There's no reason this description and "dumb fun" can't be mutually exclusive.
Does Million Dollar Quartet have any type of type plot? It's not just a revue is it?
It's a plot around a real-life occurrence that happened one night, yes.

I personally loved Baby it's You because I love 60's music! And it was probably much better because I had gotten comp tix. But the production itself was a fun great night out. I would goes towards your personal musical tastes. I just really don't like anyof the type of music in MDQ.
