it's just like being a celebrity except the people flashing pictures and such are mostly fans and not paparazzi.
Being a performer or just in general i have a fasination with how things are put together and backstage so i would love to go backstage. I don't see anything wrong with wanting to do that. Just to see how things work and are put together may actually be the reason someone would want to go backstage.

A dancer might dream to see her name in lights and mean it, but all she really dreams is to make someone else feel the way she did when she first saw a dancer. And that is so beautiful-Anonymous

Broadway_Bound.. okay, thanks. I did think it was a little rude-sounding, not overly oranything, but I just wanted to let you know that I didn't mean it that way.
kim- Yesh, I see what you mean. Broadway stars (for the most part) aren't well-known enough for the paparazzi. They have no business there. lol.

Yeah... well, it's not normally SO run-down, but it's never as nice as the theatre itself. The Gershwin one isn't that bad, but many are pretty ugly. Some are even half-finished and stuff, like a basement.

I went backstage at wicked in April. My friend and i were donating a generous sum of money to BCEFA, and we wanted to deliver it personally to the actors. Well we contacted BCEFA, and they set it up with the stage manager at the Gershwin. It was thrilling back there. Idina was out that day, but we personally delivered the money to Ms. Chenoweth, and got to meet most of the cast. I've also been backstage at Hairspray many times, for i know many people in the show. Backstage is always an adventure!

It sounds fun. Hope you had a nice time. I wish I could have seen Kristin when I went there. But she had left by then. What else did you see while you were there?
