"NO matter how uncomfortable she was in that show, she should have quit rather than give the performance she gave."

You can't say a performer should "quit" based on one performance that was bad. As others have said, perhaps you saw her on an off night.

The fact that people get up on stage 6-8 times a week to perform for people, whether they give a crappy performance or steller performance is an achievement within itself.

As Jellylorum said, if you don't like a performance, don't clap. It's less rude.

People throw panties? At Broadway shows? Wow. I sort of wish I'd seen this. As for being banned, I only know of one woman that I've ever seen it happen to. But she wasn't a paying theatre goer, she just constantly tried to scam her way into see shows, all over New York, actually. It's really difficult to compeltely ban someone who paid to be there. Mostly, they might be asked to leave that particular evening. Or their video camera might be taken away. They always get it back, though, as far as I know. I think you'd pretty much have to assault someone to be totally banned.

Oh, and I also find the idea of booing someone incredibly rude. No matter how bad you thought the performance was, that is still a person up there. You're not at Showtime at the Apollo.
