Well, she was scheduled to play "New World Stages Stage One" so in that way it would have been "literally" returning to the stage, though as far as I know, she's never played that specific stage.

So sad to hear this. Just last week I purchased for Thursday the 14th, my second night in town. Sending Ms. Cook good thoughts and hoping to see her in concert again soon!

I hope she's okay. I'm so sorry I won't get to see her in this run.
I hold cherished memories of seeing her over the years.

I never knew WHO she was way back when, but now whenever I hear THAT voice--instant recall of a young man in his room listening to LP Broadway musicals.
I have seen Ms Cook in concert quite a few times now, including a master class and her voice always brings back beautiful memories.
Whatever the reason, I wish you good health.
