Finally new songs from Barbra! I am sooo excited. Check it out on www.barbrastreisand.com :

Don't forget, Barbra will be on Oprah this Tuesday (singing live), and she will also be on Entertainment Tonight on Monday, where they will show her in the recording studio and show a little bit from Oprah's interview which will air the next day. ![]()
I know she sings "Smile" on Oprah; I'm not sure what other songs (if any).
Also, there is an interview with Barbra in the current edition of Reader's Digest, and here is a link to a very interesting Barbra Streisand radio interview:

Haha thanks for the head's up Christine!
What was she eating during the interview?
I believe it was a salad. :)
I highly recommend the CD as well... Also note the review quote on the left of http://www.barbrastreisand.com/reviews.html right above PEOPLE's.

Actually, it is taped. I met some women who were at the taping and they were swooning! The did not know Babs was going to be on. They were standing on line and heard a rumor she was the guest and were shocked that she really was. I think they told me that all she sings is SMILE.
By the way, the show taped right before the Babs show was "Husband who Cheat". How crappy would that be to know that if you had only gotten tix for the afternoon taping as opposed to the morning taping you could have seen BS...and for FREE!
OMG I would have flown to Chicago for that.. those lucky audience members :/
I actually knew 2 weeks before the taping, but I couldn't afford to fly to Chicago, especially when I probably wouldn't be able to get in and see Barbra. I always misuse the word "Live" when I talk about television. I just meant that there were no cuts or re-takes; it's unscripted.
By the way, Barbra will also be on the Oxygen channel that day on "Oprah After the Show", or whatever it's called.
Barbra also taped "Inside the Actor's Studio" a couple of weeks ago, and that will air in a few weeks.
I can't wait to hear Barbra's answers to James' famous final questions.
I saw Rosie O'Donnell at the flea market, and she said that she got to go and watch the entire 5 hour interview, which will unfortunately be cut down to 2 hours at most for us at homoe
What I wouldn't give to have been to that taping.
I WAS at that taping....A full five hours with Barbra. Pure bliss!!!! And if you want I can tell you exactly what her answers to the famous questions were- unless you want to be surprised. PM me.
I can't WAIT to hear this cd.

Bway lover... wow that must have been a long long trip to get to Chicago from Isreal just to see a taping of Oprah! You are so lucky. How did you swing tickets?
And did you see her on "Oprah After the Show"? Loved the boots.
and it was great seeing her interact with the audience a little bit; though that one guy was really annoying. He kept butting in, asking questions or making comments while she was still talking. But Barbra was very gracious.
I liked how Oprah asked her what her favorite this and that's are. It was like a non-boring version of a James Lipton interview. LOL
The turtle neck bothered me too. It makes her head look really tiny. My guess is she was either covering up plastic surgery scars, or she just hates her neck, or both.
Though it is a nice style...to wear a covered up top with a mini skirt. She does have awesome legs. A turtle neck is not bad on her; but that particular one was too big.
I just thought it was a great overall interview. :) Barbra seemed pretty relaxed, and she and Oprah had a nice chemistry.

oooh BwayLover and where were you sitting so I can spot you. I taked both Oprah and Oprah After the Show.... so I can spot ya!
Jon, I should have explained better... I was at the Actors Studio taping, not the Oprah one...Though I do know some people who were there in Chicago, who got their tickets by writing the production about why they love Barbra. Isn't that great?
The Actors Studio interview was amazing though, and I was in the 6th row for the Q&A part, which was so cool... I'll bet you'll see me in that one! :)

BwayLover- that's still cool!! Jealousy fills me as I keep reading about how you sat there for 5 hours, listening to Barbra's interview...grrrr...

As I 've mentioned previously, I work with That Streisand Woman's cousin, who is truly lovely lady. We have two free periods together and have our share of laughs when we're together. Today she was going on and on about how bizarre the interview with Oprah was. I didn't see it, but my co-woker reduced me to hilarious tears as she described That Streisand Woman singing Charlie Chaplin's "Smile" to her dead dog!!!!!
I think Barbra needs professional help!
It's amazing how you can make even the most beautiful, touching moment into something ugly. I guess you're not a dog lover!

I am very definitely a dog lover!
***Biting my tongue not to say something I'll regret***
Barbra has lost her mind. She is completely out of touch with reality.
When she was describing the colors in her house in California, it sounded absolutely horrifying.
And what about the flowers changing color outside so that they would match her room because she willed them to.
Poor thing.

...all of this coming from a woman who couldn't fly to New York to attend her won mother's funeral!!!!
She also said something to effect that the most she ever cried was when that dog died.
What about when your mother died, Babs?
