Posted: 8/9/08 at 1:14pmHave any of you done shows in a converted space, for example an old barn? I have found some nice exterior shots of such spaces, but I'm working on a project for which a few interior pictures would be most helpful. Specifically lobby and seating. PM me if you have any you'd be willing to share.

The Gateway Playhouse on Long Island utilizes a former barn as a performance space:

Our own DollyPop wrote a fantastic article on the theater a few weeks ago, I don't have link handy, but I'm sure you can find it.

The Producers is currently playing at this theater, which has been around for about 80 years.

There's the Barn Theatre in Montville, NJ, although it dosn't look like an old barn, in fact it's quite nice.
Down here in Monmouth county there's a community theatre group that uses the hall of the Union Beach fire house.

About twenty minutes from my house is a small community theatre that is a refurbished barn. It's a small place, but it's quite nice (I just did Les Miserables School Edition there, which was a wonderful experience).
