Posted: 6/1/09 at 5:03pmI was really disappointed. This new episode was NOT good, in my opinion.

Posted: 6/1/09 at 5:11pmI think that this is one of the better episodes in recent memory. Love the addition of Brynn to the "cast".

These webisodes have completely lost their spark for me. The first season was refreshing, Jake's quirky journey to being cast in a show. However, now I feel like these episodes have no real drive. While the players are doing a great job and they are tremendously talented these episodes don't go anywhere. They are 13 minute monthly snippets of nothing leading to nothing leading to nothing. I think the show needs a new kick of creativity...something fresh if not they risk becoming a nuisance.
PS: This isn't a fight w/ any who oppose my opinion. It is my own...just expressing it.

I completely agree with you. I enjoyed the first season for the most part- the cameos of Broadway stars were always clever, the songs usually good and well-staged, the performances funny. Now everything is just so forced. I don't care about any characters (which I barely did the first season). I don't understand why they're going out of the way to set things in Paris or Alaska. The songs are extremely unmemorable. The plot just seems to happen without anyone caring.
They really need a professional writer to work on this.

Posted: 6/2/09 at 1:01pmI agree with a lot of the criticism, but I do have to say I still look forward to this show every month. I think there are sometimes lulls in the writing, but I always enjoy and am surprised at how much these kids are able to put together in a month. Especially after seeing GLEE this month, you see how hard it is to write a musical-themed comedy on film. GLEE had tons of money thrown at it and in my opinion, still didn't work from the writing perspective. To my knowledge these guys don't have a budget and are depending on other people's contributions and talents so with what they have to work with, they achieve a hell of a lot.

UPDATE- July will not be up till August 1st, with some big guest stars.
And yes, the Battery's Down is ending. This is the last season.
