People have been aware of this for almost 35 years.
Not only that, but its been easily available for years -- first on VHS and now on DVD. I don't have a memory of not having a copy of it.
Yes... it only aired once on television and never released on home video officailly, but its FAR from being 'rare'.

Ok so rare was the wrong word. But it is not known to a lot of younger musical theater fans out there...I had never seen the footage and its totally worth revisiting and laughing about. Not trying to say I discovered it or anything....just wanting to share a cheesy musical theater related moment.
Yeah, I didn't know about it. Thanks, fun :)
It's reported that anyone who ever mentioned this program to Bea Arthur would get one of her famous death stares.
I have to say if I'd ever met her I'd have found a way to work this into the conversation, no question.

Bea's scene was the one touching scene in this cinematic abortion. Hearing Wookie calls for 20 minutes without subtitles made me contemplate suicide.

She came off looking better than most. Mark Hamill was caked in makeup, Harrison Ford was the sole English speaker in parts, Dian Caroll starred in Wookie porn, some Imperial grunt gushed over Jefferson Starship, and Carrie Fisher topped it by attempting to sing. No, Bea came off better than pretty much than everyone else. Well, her and Boba Fett. They made the best of it. I wouldnt be surprised if this is where Deadpool fell for Bea Arthur. Still, Alec Guiness had the best of it- avoiding this monstrosity believed to cause the perfection that is Empire.

I found this clip of Miss Arthur's final interview with Bea discussing her career and life in her own words. I think it’s for a show called, “Lunching with a Legend.”
I'd hate for a full interview with Bea or the other legendary ladies in the clip to go unseen. I'd like to see if she final discusses her service in her final interview.
