Beauty and the Beast Final Performance Contest Winners Announced

After enchanting audiences for more than 13 years, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast will take its final bow at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street) on Sunday, July 29. BroadwayWorld.com held a contest where we asked our readers to submit their favorite Beauty and the Beast memory - on stage or off. With over 1,000 incredible entries, it proved extremely difficult for the staff to select only five. From poignant to hysterical, the submissions ages ranged from 10 to 80 - a clear indication of how this musical has affected both young and old alike in its 13+ year run. BroadwayWorld would like to thank everyone that entered for their time, energy and wonderful passion with this contest. It was a genuine thrill for all of us to discuss the selections. yea congrats. i really wanted to win, but im kinda glad i didnt b/c its such a short notice, i dont think i would of made it to the show.

Yes it would have been nice to attend, since we'll be in NY for our Theatre Trip, but that's just the way it goes!

I'm looking forward to seeing as many shows as possible, starting tomorrow night (24th thru 1st). As soon as we get our bags in the room, we're out the door to see what we can see!
