I've noticed that Bebe has been popping up at alot of Broadway events lately, is she getting ready to make a return to Broadway?

I wish, I saw her in Here Lies Jenny and she was just amazing. I would love to see her in a big broadway production.

She is the best Velma in the history of CHICAGO IMO. I'd LOVE to see her play opposite Charlotte d'Amboise as Roxie someday.

I hope she IS wanting to come back to Broadway in someway shape or form.

She was so great in "Here Lies Jenny"!! Saw it the night before the BCEFA flea market she signed my poster and when I asked her to sign my playbill she became so happy and thanked me for coming out to se the show.
I hope this is a sign that she is coming back, because whatever she is in.. I'll see.

I agree with EponineAmneris. I loved her Velma! I would love to see her return to Broadway sometime in the near future.

You obviosly never saw Chita's Velma.
Bebe can't hold a candle to her!
I also find Bebe cold and don't ask the backstage crew if they want her back on Broadway.

I actually saw her on the street near times square on Saturday. I was surprised she would be out like that people were recognized her and everything.

I'd love to see her in a show again. She recently did a concert in Buffalo and cold was a good description for her. No talk between songs, no banter. She was amazing, but aloof. I'd like to see her with a great part though.

I've never thought as Bebe as cold on stage unless the role calls for it. On a personal note I've always found her to be extremely witty and kind in every social setting. People often times misread her.

I agree with wonderboy, I think people get the wrong impression from Bebe. I told a story on here once about her, that I'm going to re-tell here...

I have had the pleasure of meeting Bebe several times. When she was in Chicago, I would be walking to work at about the same time she would be walking to the theatre so I would pass her almost everyday. I would never approach her in this situation, I mean we were both on our way to work, but we'd smile at each other (since this became an every day occurance.) One day on the way to work I stopped at a pretzel vendor and when I turned around she was standing behind me in line!! I laughed and finally said hi and she said "I see you everyday! I swear I'm not following you!" We talked briefly as she got her pretzel about how I was on my way to work too and she asked what I did, etc. She was funny, more than pleasant, and so down to earth. She later remembered me when I saw her in Here Lies Jenny. Amazing woman, and a very talented performer. I hope she comes back to Broadway!

Thank you for that story, broadwayjules! I enjoyed that.

The CHEERS/FRASIER cast sure liked her from what I've heard in interviews ect.

I saw her in Sweet Charity with Debbie Allen, as well as several times in Chicago. I was also fortunate enough to have front row center for Here Lies Jenny. Talented woman! Great sense of comedic timing. I saw her at one of the annual flea market auctions, and she seemed extremelys cool. Perhaps she was just careful about all the stalkers these days (even I had one and it's REAL scarey). With that much talent, she can seem aloof and it's fine by me!

She is one of Broadway's most alluring, notorious, and talented performers.

I have heard several stories, but she is nothing but down to earth and pleasant every time I meet her.

I can't believe no one has corrected this yet: It's Neuwirth, not Nuewirth. And yes! I hope she returns to Broadway soon!

Well, that and some folks are more interested in discussing the topic than discussing accidental spelling errors. You would think posters have stock in spell check with how they jump all over misspellings. And don't give me that "it's important to spell an actor's name correctly." On a marquee, Playbill, or album, yes. An accident on a message board is forgiveable. :)

Bebe is a great talent and a lovely woman and I'd kill to see her back on Broadway. In what, I don't know...but I'd see it.

A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.
