You know, I think for all the clamouring that some people profess that they want this place to be a "nice" board that it's a little sad that a little respectful consideration isn't given to a member's request. Fine if you don't wish to honor it, but is there a need for ridicule? Or for taking bets on whether anyone returns to post again? Seems instead of giving any reflection to the matter instead a knee-jerk response is posted. And the "right" to free speech doesn't extend to anyone unless they're the host of the board. So please save that argument.

Why do I keep forgetting that in some people's mind the universe really does revolve around them.

Antonio, I've the impression that you've taken someone's comment/request/opinion regarding signatures quite personally. I looked for the original posting and found that it did not overtly read as if directed to you, or to anyone in particular. It reads as an observation and a request. It appears then that you generalized that person's opinion into an affront to your privilege to post whatever you want, in any manner you want. A somewhat overexaggerated response, don't you think? I would agree with you that your signature is what it is. I would also agree that long-winded signatures which really add nothing to a posting are a waste of space. They can be viewed as a flamboyancy which some personalities need perhaps. It was a civilized request which other posters may choose to acknowledge and adjust to, or choose to simply ignore. You seemed to feel the need to turn this into a personal cause celebre and end up coming across as someone extremely needful of attention at the least. This is all pretty damn silly actually as there are many more important issues in life to get detressed about. The size of your signature isn't one of them. Oh yes, it is a privilege to post your opinions on this board, not an inalienable right. My advice is change your signature or leave it alone, whichever you prefer, but move on.

I just came back from an audition, feeling a little low cause I did damn good and the guy behind the table said 'that was very nice, thank you' and made me feel like i performed as well as Pia Zadora singing 'I Am What I Am' on the Jerry Lewis Telethon and you just made it ALL BETTER!!!!
