Benanti Melania

For those like myself who are at the moment grasping at bits of positive news.

Laura Benanti will inevitably have a regular gig somewhere playing Melania Trump. (I must confess - like Tina Faye's portrayal of Sarah Palin, when I see Melania. I hear and picture Laura's portrayal.)

they should just make her a regular on SNL now and sign her to a four year contract. If she does Broadway again in the next 4 years, I'm assuming they (NBC) can work around it.

Even without her hilarious Melania Trump impersonation, Laura Benanti should be a regular on SNL!  That is unlikely to happen, but I expect her to appear frequently on Colbert's show (on NBC's rival network CBS).

It seems like she's a little uncomfortable playing the part now that Melania is actually First Lady.

I know Stephen and Laura thought they were inspiring people to vote for Hillary, but I hope they now realize that they (and the other late night clowns) did more to enrage and inspire Trump people to get off their rumps and vote for Trump.

Laura did it to take revenge against you for not clapping for her when you saw She Loves Me. You thought buying a ticket was enough to support her, but I hope you now realize that you inspired her to enrage Trump people and look where we are now.
