And I hope they cover up those ugly tatoos of hers, Maggie would never defile herself like that! If they make an appearance that'll take me out of the world of the play entirely! I notice the little stuff, especially when I'm a huge fan ouf the author and source material!

LOVE Ciaran Hinds as Big Daddy. He's fresh off Political Animals, and that creepy sexuality is perfect for Big Daddy.
And since Benjamin Walker's gotten bloated and tired-looking since his Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson days, he'll be great as an over the hill alcoholic.

How bloated? He seemed to look fine in the trailers for that Lincoln Vampire movie, which I never saw. The thing is, in the script they go on about how Brick still has a great body, etc...
Unless this is set in the past decade, I have serious doubts that they won't cover up Scarlett's tattoos, lol. Did they keep them for View?

Posted: 9/21/12 at 5:32pmI saw Hinds in Juno and the Paycock at the National Theatre earlier this year and he was ASTONISHING. A brilliant, fun, grounded performance. He's a really interesting choice for Big Daddy, and I think he's going to knock it out of the park.

Posted: 9/21/12 at 6:19pmI love Ciaran Hinds but am somewhat skeptical. I'm worried his Big Daddy will be a slight modification of his Good Old Boy President Doug Hammond on Political Animals. He tries very hard on that show and has some good moments but his limited bag of tricks for this role is wearing very thin.
