Bernadette Peters is absolutely and unquestionably the greatest living Broadway star. She has starred in more shows, given more performances, recorded more cast albums, sold more tickets-- you name it.

That's probably why she's on the Tonys so much.

"What I want to know is why she seems to be on every Tony Awards ceremony? "

Because she's Bernadette Peters.

Duh, Bernadette is a Broadway Legend. Why not have her as much as possible. I used to have a tape of this performance but then someone borrowed it and never gave it back. I got my copy from one of the people on the forum of
www.bernadette-peters.com (unofficial). They are extremely nice people.

If I remember correctly, Tyne Daley (sp.?) suffered some vocal problems.
