She was in good voice. It was a nice evening. Most notable to me were the things she did not sing. Like Time Heals Everything and Unexpected Song. I love going to this new venue. But it is definitely a older San Fernando Valley crowd. She kept the scripted patter to minimum compared to other times. Betty White and Joanne Worley in the audience.

Posted: 10/21/13 at 2:03pmDAME, I would have loved to have met you. We did Goldstar tickets and had really good side balcony seats. I did feel like the youngest one there. She sounded really good and put on quite the classy show. It was my first time there and I will be back for more. I really don't think there is a bad seat in that venue.

Posted: 10/21/13 at 2:12pmThe show was good but I felt like she sexed-up almost every song. I know that's her schtick but I felt that she was at her best when she infused emotion into the performance such as with the Follies numbers.

Posted: 10/21/13 at 6:37pmWe did not stay for the meet and greet. It was more of a buy the book and cd and I will sign it for you kind of deal. Which is cool since it was for Broadway Barks. But standing there waiting patiently is not for me.

I was there too and enjoyed it, but it seemed like a very short concert to me. Perhaps I've been spoiled by concerts at the Music Center and the Hollywood Bowl, which generally include intermissions.
Is anyone here seeing Audra McDonald on Saturday night at the Dorothy Chandler?
