I doubt she's performed "(Not)Getting Married Today" but yes, she'd be awesome in this number because she has that great comic ability and she does really well with fast tempo songs like "You Could Drive A Person Crazy." I think her versions of "No One Is Along" and "Not A Day Goes By" are just sooo powerful, she is amazing.

"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"

I was lucky enough to see Bernadette live for the first time last night here in Ft Lauderdale. She was absolutely incredible, and looked stunning.

The set list was mostly the usual one she has performed this tour, except she has made one or two great changes (it seems she has removed "I'm Flying" and "My Funny Valentine" and replaced them in the set with "Being Alive" and "Oh Shenandoah"):

Let Me Entertain You
No One is Alone
There is Nothin' Like a Dame
Fever
The Gentleman Is a Dope
Oh Shenandoah
Unexpected Song
Mr. Snow
Time Heals Everything
Some Enchanted Evening
Not a Day Goes By
You Could Drive a Person Crazy
With So Little to Be Sure Of
Children Will Listen
Being Alive
Encore #1: Rose's Turn
Encore #2: Count Your Blessings

Ms Peters had the audience in the palm of her hand, and she just consistently thrilled. The only song I didn't care for was her rendition of "Mr Snow," but I am so attatched to Audra McDonald's version that I am probably biased. "Unexpected Song" and "Being Alive" were the two most powerful songs of the night, and getting to see her perform "Rose's Turn" live was something I'll never forget.

I was able to meet Bernadette after the show, and she couldn't have been any nicer. There was a bit of a crowd (fifteen or twenty people) who I thought would remain calm and orderly, but of course everyone ran up the stairs and swarmed her as soon as she came out. She was nice enough to chat, sign, and take pictures with everyone, and even autographed six or seven items two different guys each had. I asked if she was coming back to Broadway anytime soon, and she kind of did a half laugh and said "I don't know right now. We'll have to see."

All in all, the concert was an incredible evening, and I consider myself lucky to have experienced it.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Thank you for your review. I hope to get over to Chicago in May to see her perform.

She'll be coming to Utah in March to sing with the Utah Symphony and I'm REALLY looking forward to this concert!! I met her at the Tony Awards last year - she was so sweet.

Fantastic concert last night! She is just amazing. She pretty much kept to the song list above - she sang "Fever" lying on the piano which was great. During "There is Nothin' Like a Dame" she came down into the audience and sang to a guy. Very cute. The audience loved her! You could tell she was bothered by the dry air here, she took a drink of water after nearly every song. A wonderful evening!!
