Anyone have some information on what shows Bernadette Peters will be doing in Hello Dolly in January when she starts? I remember reading in the beginning that she would only be doing Saturday night shows for a while, but I can't find that anywhere now, so I'm wondering if I misread something. Plus, I'm hearing people have tickets to see her specifically in January on other nights. I'll be in NYC the last weekend of January, and would love to catch her. Thanks!

The initial press release said that she would be doing all eight shows.

Bernadette is scheduled to do all eight shows from everything I've read.

She is scheduled to do all shows currently on sale. Any scheduled days off (if there are any) would be clearly stated on telecharge. I'll hand it to Rudin with this production, there have been zero shady business with understudies or unannounced absences. I think other producers might not announce certain performances and count on enough people staying when they find out Bette isn't performing.
They also have clearly stated in all ways "Donna Days" with a note on each performance on telecharge, signs in the theatre, the box office saying it twice before purchase, TDF and TKTS saying it clearly pre purchase. I trust Bernadette to be there for all dates scheduled.

I thought the same thing as you when I read the OP's sentence, but then I realized that they meant "After a while, she will stop doing Saturday night shows." Don't know if that's true or not - I'm just chiming in about the syntax clarification.

Clearly I must be going crazy, haha. I distinctly remember reading that she would be starting performances in Dolly on January 20th, but that her official 'opening' would be February 22. I remember the arrangement being that she would going to ONLY perform on Saturday nights for the first couple of weeks, and then she would start doing all eight shows a week on February 22. I remember at the time thinking it sounded crazy, but I distinctly remember it. I cannot find anything online to back that up, so maybe I completely made it up. Thanks!

Oh, I guess I was the one who misunderstood your post. Are you sure the original article you're remembering didn't say what I was saying in my last post? Maybe you saw something that said "She will only be performing Saturday night shows through [date]" and what they meant was "On [date] she will stop performing Saturday night shows and start doing only shows a week"?
Again, I have no idea if any of this is true. I am still only commenting on the possible syntax issue :)

Except what you are suggesting would be ALMOST as ridiculous as what the OP thinks he saw! Why would she ever stop doing Saturday nights? That's the most lucrative performance of the week.

Bernie will be doing all of the remaining 525,600 performances for the run of Hello Dolly until it's time to say Goodbye Dolly.
