No, that's fine with me. I'm just glad it was recorded. Another poster said something about March 20th and I was just trying to figure out how long it was going to take. My college is doing this show next year, so I kinda wanna hear the score. Can't wait.

Yeah, I am guessing the Lorca version - as the rights to this aren't even out...

Do you think this means that it might extend?

Yeah, no, I meant the play. But I just think it would be interesting to hear it done as a musical first. Just to help me better understand the play. Being a guy, I have no chance of being cast in it, so I'll just have to enjoy it.
Not sure if its extending. Its got a really great cast, so not sure if all their schedules will allow it.
Man, LaChiusa has worked with some GREAT casts this season.

There are men in Lorca's play. I think there's 1 or 2 not sure. I know there is at least 1 suitor.
YAY!!!!!!!!! Since I can't see it, this will have to do.
No, there are no men in Lorca's play.
The are male characters - but the cast is all female...
There are men offstage and unless a really terrible director wants actual men there, there should not be any men in the cast.
(Pepe el Romano is only talked about)
In LaChiusa's musical, Pepe the Roman appears, but he is played by a female.
Mr Roxy, honestly? There's not one song that's ever appealed to you? Wow.
Michael John ALWAYS gets great casts. It's wonderful!
And my reply to that it's getting recorded?
Koo.

Lorca intentionally excluded all males from Bernarda Alba, it would go completely against the author's intentions to cast a male in a production of the show unless it was a cross-dressing production which I saw in South America as a matter of fact, it was a male cast playing all the women, interesting take. Garcia Lorca was a brilliant author so I hope every director respects his original intentions with this show.
Then again, he's been dead for a long time and the play has been around for a while, so it might be interesting to see a spin on it! Certainly not a mix of traditional male and female casting though.
I love all this new MJLC music coming out!
