I will have to agree with you, I was in the 5th row of the Orchestra and it was so moving especially when she got a standing O.
Also, Tuesday night at Hairspray-I Know Where I've Been...brought me to tears and made me extreemely sad that the show is closing

I haven't seen Hairspray on Broadway unfortunately, but I love the song I Know Where I've Been. It's phenomenal

Being a huge Broadway fanatic all my life and wanting to perform on the Broadway stage since forever. My first trip to New York when in 2007 when I was 16. I saw Young Frankenstein in one of the very final previews. It was my first ever Broadway show. I will never forget being handed that playbill and sitting down and then the overture started. It was one of the best feelings ever. Other memorable experiences include, 3rd row Phantom, 10th row Gypsy, and In The Heights.

Going to your first show is one of, if not the greatest experience you can have. My very first Broadway show was Phantom of the Opera, which I saw in January of last year. I was amazed at the Majestic Theatre's wonderful designs because I just had never seen a Broadway theatre before. I saw the movie before, but when the overture began, I had chills, and I can't even describe how I felt then and during the rest of the show.

My first show was spring break of 2006. Avenue Q second row. Just something about being in a Broadway theatre for the first time is a feeling that can never be matched except for maybe performing on one for the first time. But my best show memory is a tie between Patti singing Rose's Turn (I was in the 5th row as well) and the OBC of Spring Awakening singing Touch Me. Both phenominal experiances that each hold signifigant value to me.
<------ Me and my friends with patti Lupone at my friends afterparty for her concert with audra mcdonald during the summer of 2007.

I am from London, remember standing at TKTS on Broadway on a Sunday night and the only show available was Beauty and the Beast, bearing in mind Beauty did nit run for too long in London, it had run for years in New York, at the time thinking Disney must be an American infatuation, my I went across to to the Lunt-Fontanne, with very low hopes for this production.......only to find the show rocks!

My second show on Broadway I ever saw was Wicked. I was in Row Y of the Orch, i couldn't see the dragon- and Kendra was out and Alli was on (I cried, lol). Then the show started and I was swept away, wow, that was like 2 and a half hours of pure euphoria.
Then, 2 months afterwards I saw RENT after loving the movie. Second row front mezz. I got so excited about A&A that I lost the feeling in my hands. When they came out on stage, I lost the feeling in my legs. That day was so magical. I was so sad when it was over, because I was sad I might never see it again.
I became addicted to musicals after those two, they are gateway shows. I am surprised in that in a year my favorites were Wicked, RENT, and Legally Blonde and radically changed to Grey Gardens, Side Show, and Next To Normal. It is also funny that I saw 2 shows in '07 and 54 in '08. And I owe it all to Wicked and RENT.

The final show of Legally Blonde and the night that I had all the understudies(sept 21st). Those 2 shows were the most fun I ever had at the theatre. Also Stephanie J. Block's last show in Wicked. Just the energy in the audience was incredible and she was on FIRE that day. I never heard her that good.

Also another one of my memories is on Annaleigh's last day. I was in Row B, right side of the theatre, all the way at the end of the row. That day, everyone was perfect, especially SJB's Defying Gravity and No Good Deed. It left me speechless, and as you said, the energetic audience was there to cheer them on.

^ I was also there on Annaleigh's last day. In BB 5. And when Steph broke down in For Good was perhaps the saddest thing I have ever seen
. I had a perfect view of her face also.

It was definitely sad to see tears coming down their face during For Good and seeing Annaleigh crying in her bubble at the end, but it was a bittersweet and incredible day.

Seeing Cats years ago, just after it was nominated for a Tony. We were sitting in house seats and Rum Tum Tugger jumped into my husband's lap and all the cats stopped by my daughter, who was sitting on the aisle, to interact with her. We had a good friend in the original cast and she was amazing. She took us on a back stage tour after the show. This is a time I will never forget.

1. Laura Bell Bundy's last show in Legally Blonde was the best i could have ever thought.. She brought the whole show to the highest level ever. Orfeh was amazing(like usual) when she sung the last note in the ireland(reprise) like 4 levels higher. she has an amazing voice. and when lbb is about to go to callahans class emmett says dogs aren't allowed in class and elle goes thats ok bruiser loves days of our lives, she said bruiser loves battlestar gallactica. it was so funny.
2. when i saw hairspray for the first time the dad was dancing with the mom and he became out of character and started cracking up. then the mom started like playing with her night gown and then they were ready and the conductor of the orchestra was not doing anything and the mom was like "we're ready now" and everyone started laughing again. it was 1 minutes added to the show but it was so funny and especially since i have never seen an actor come out of character and see how they handled it

Being brought to tears by the current Gypsy.
Feeling part of something great when I saw Doubt.
Many other fantastic memories, but those are very meaningful.

How to properly use its/it's:
Its is the possessive. It's is the contraction for it is...

When I saw Gypsy for the first time, Patti LuPone and Boyd Gaines both went out of character and were hysterically laughing at the "It takes a while for butter to be melted in the frying pan again" line (I know that's not the exact line but you get the point) and the entire audience was in hysterics and clapping for them.

Final performance of Micheal Crawford and Sarah Brightman in Phantom.
The Original cast of Kiss of the Spiderwoman.
Angels In America

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

My first Broadway show: Annie Get Your Gun, at the Marquis and starring Bernadette :)! Didn't know too much about her then when I was younger, .. if only I knew! (Seeing Patti this year in GYPSY as well was one, naturally!)
Seeing the Les Miserables Revival & Phantom of the Opera once more really got me back into the Broadway scene as well, so I'd have to cite them!
And perhaps because I felt it spoke to me a lot (not to sound overly corny!), but A Tale of Two Cities was inspiring to me and is the most recent show I'd add to my list.

Tobiasragg, I just searched her up on Broadwayworld and all I can find is that she was in the choir for the Actor's Fund Performance of Chess in 2003 and was in the ensemble for the Actor's Fund Performance of Hair in 2004 and that's all I can find as of now.

All of my best Broadway memories are from this year since the beginning of 2008 was when I first got into Broadway. Some highlights:
*Gypsy – too many moments to name, just everything about it (especially the one experience of sitting front row)!
*Annaleigh’s last show in Wicked, especially “Popular” and “For Good”
*On-stage at Xanadu during Whoopi’s run
*Being so moved by Next to Normal
*going to The Broadway Flea Market for the first time
*getting my Gypsy poster signed by Patti LuPone as well as meeting some of my other favorite performers – so many stage door memories
