Oh yes, Jo. How could I forget BFO? Fantastic cast. They MADE that show.

re: Best Overall Cast you have seen

I really don't remember much of the OBC... and I didn't see all of it. By the time I got back, parts of it were already falling apart - so, it's my favorite show, but no, not the best overall cast. The ones I picked... they just all worked so beautifully together.

re: Best Overall Cast you have seen

bythesword, I'm honestly not familiar with a lot of Bohmer's work outside of SP, I don't consider Kudisch one of Broadway's best, but I was more referring to how they worked as a unit and, of course, as a cast. The cast as a whole complemented each other beautifully, and the trio of leads really worked well together. And I definitely adore Carolee, too! :0)

Gee, I wonder what Jill's going to say...??
Could it be Urinetown? I think it just might be.

Seriously, that was the best cast I've ever seen. They all worked so well with one another.

re: Best Overall Cast you have seen

Taboo did have a stellar cast that gave performances worthy of a lot more than it got. No one can say that cast didn't work well together.

Such, oh don't worry, I wasn't saying your choice was bad just that it wasn't one I thought I would pick. re: Best Overall Cast you have seen
And hang on, when did you win the discus?

re: Best Overall Cast you have seen

Personally, I liked the SP cast with Rex Smith, Rachel York and Doug Sills the best.

I saw this one like 4 times---and Ironically, as I am posting this, The Riddle is starting to play on Broadway Radio.

I love when that happens!

I liked that cast too LF, but I didn't like Rachel as much as I liked Christine for some reason. I liked Terrence and Rex but in different ways so I can't say one was better than the other.

I enjoy how we are the only people who have the actresses playing us as our icons like was suggested by Daisy...

re: Best Overall Cast you have seen

Oh it's okay, I love Stephanie anyway. I was just very attached to my Spencer icon.
And hang on, when did you win the discus?

re: Best Overall Cast you have seen

Of shows I've seen....? Hmmmm....

Well, although it doesn't open until the 9th, if it doesn't change between now and then, it has to be the OLC of The Producers. It was a very tight show (and that was still in previews). As a show, I think it's the best I've ever seen (it's a shame the music doesn't work quite so well off-stage).

The cast was really impressive. I was thrilled Nathan Lane was appearing (instead of awful Dreyfuss) and Lee Evans was better than I expected (although not as good as I would have hoped). The cast had some lovely national faves in it (James Dreyfuss and Lee Evans) and I really loved Leigh Zimmerman as Ulla. From what I hear on the OBC recording, I think Zimmerman is better than Cady Huffman.

RENT with Matt Caplan, Colin Hanlon(sp), Maggie Benjamin or Kelly Karbacz, Mark Richard Ford, Justin Johnson, D'Monroe, Krystal Washington, and Danielle Greaves.

I'd like to say Wicked, but I haven't seen it yet. :)

re: Best Overall Cast you have seen

The casts that had the best chemistry when I saw them were:

OBC: AIDA
Assassins
Wicked (with Sean)

About the last one- No flames please I just thought they all worked together very well (and no one can deny the ensemble is just GREAT!)

Last year's RENT tour.
Avenue Q.
And I know I'm gonna get flamed for this, but if we're talking talent, I definitely have to say Brooklyn.
