re: Best Replacement?

Or it got lost because people have answered it 100 times in the last 3 months and don't want to list Reba McEntire for the 85th time.

If yuou truly give a rats behind what people think on this topic, SEARCH.

Bumping your own thread is just vile and self-indulgent.

re: Best Replacement?

Nathanlanestalker- what do you mean who cares? Obviously everybody but you. Dont be such a pain use the search function and then when you realize that nobody wants a thread on one that has already been done before then DONT BUMP IT. It is really not that hard to use search unless you have a disabillity that makes it so you can't hit it.

re: Best Replacement?

I thought Whoopi was very funny.

re: Best Replacement?

george bush is vile and self-indulgent...I know some folks are frustrated community theatre chorus folk, but that is no reason to be sooooooooooo melodramatic.

re: Best Replacement?

Jonathan Pryce in DRS I'm not a huge fan of the show, but Brantley basically changed his mind about the production based on Pryce.

re: Best Replacement?

Matt Caplan was So-So for me! Did anyone here see Cathy Rigby in Seussical? WOW! HILARIOUS Ad-libs and just....WOW! I loved how they changed her from a pool boy (since she`s a woman) to a Excersice instructer! She ran in all hyper going "Come on! Get up! Let`s excersice! COME ON GET UP!!!!!!!" And when she said to Horton during the song Biggest Blame Fool "It`s okay Hort! I understand! Sometimes I like dressing up in green tights and act like I`m talking to fairies!" LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

re: Best Replacement?

Taylor Dayne as Amneris in Aida. Her belting was the most seemingly effortless WAILING I've ever heard. She was incredible!

Brad Little as the Phantom.

Megan Hilty as Galinda.

re: Best Replacement?

I loved Harvey Fierstein as Tevye, and prefered him to Alfred Molina. He brought such a warm, mensch-like quality to the part.

Back sometime in the '90s I saw Les Miserables and Andrea McArdle was Fantine. At first I wasn't sure it was the right casting, but she turned out to be fantastic. Her voice was just golden and had matured so beautifully without losing any of that natural magic. I was ecstatically surprised!

Most disappointing: Got tickets to the Anything Goes revival and learned that Leslie Uggams was playing Reno Sweeney. re: Best Replacement? Yeah, she was more than fine. But I wanted LuPone, dammit!
